These digital drawings by Helen are based on actual plans. For example, ‘Animal research facility’ is based on a process diagram for organizing animal research that used to be provided by the American National Institute of Health. The one below was drawn after a personal visit to an animal research facility by Helen. However, the annotated diagrams that Helen produces are not literal; they aim to evoke the many forces that produce the delineated spaces, inviting you to move through them to generate different experiences and encounters.
